Privacy

Short version: the only personal data I hold is an email address, and only if you typed one in and then clicked a link to confirm it.

Reading the site

Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, builds no profile, and cannot follow you to another site. I see totals: which pages were read, roughly where in the world from, and which site linked here. I cannot see you.

The email list

If you subscribe, I store four things:

No IP address, and no tracking pixel in the emails, so I do not know whether you opened one or which links you clicked.

Nothing is stored until you click the confirmation link. That click is the record of your consent, and it is the reason a stranger cannot put your address on the list.

Where it lives

The list is in a Cloudflare D1 database on my own account. Sending goes through Resend, whose servers for this domain are in Ireland, so the data stays in the EU. I do not pass the address to anyone else, and there is no advertising on this site to pass it to.

Getting rid of it

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately with no confirmation step. To have the row deleted outright rather than marked unsubscribed, or to ask what I hold about you, email [email protected] and I will do it by hand. You also have the right to complain to the Bulgarian data-protection authority.
